Terms of Use

By downloading and using Hydravia you agree to the terms below. Please read at least section 3 (subscription) and section 6 (health disclaimer).

1. Publisher

Hydravia is published by Nicolas Meuwly, as a private individual, at Route de Fétigny 11, 1482 Cugy FR, Switzerland. Contact: contact@hydravia.app.

2. What the app does

Hydravia is a hydration aid. It calculates an indicative daily goal from your weight, sends reminders at the intervals you choose, and can temporarily block apps you have selected until you confirm that you drank.

The "I drank it" confirmation is based on your own declaration. The app cannot verify that you actually drank, and does not claim to.

3. Subscription, free trial and cancellation

Hydravia offers a 7-day free trial, followed by an auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly or yearly. Applicable prices are those shown in the app at the time of purchase, in your App Store account's currency.

Lifetime purchase

Hydravia Pro is also available as a one-time purchase, with no trial and no renewal: payment is charged once to your Apple account on confirmation of purchase and gives access to Hydravia Pro for the lifetime of the app. It can be restored for free on your devices with the same Apple account ("Restore"). If you had a running subscription, remember to cancel it in iOS Settings: the lifetime purchase does not cancel it automatically.

Automatic renewal

• Payment is charged to your Apple account on confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial if you have not cancelled beforehand.
• The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Renewal is charged within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the rate of the selected plan.
• Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

How to cancel

You can cancel at any time in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Subscription management belongs to your Apple account: we can neither subscribe nor cancel on your behalf. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, during which you keep access.

Refunds

Since purchases are processed by Apple, refund requests fall under their policy and are made at reportaproblem.apple.com.

4. System permissions

Some features rely on permissions you grant explicitly: notifications (for reminders), Screen Time (for the app lock) and location (to adjust the dose to the temperature). Each one is optional and revocable in your phone's settings. Declining a permission disables the matching feature without preventing you from using the rest of the app.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• decompile, reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the app's source code;
• circumvent billing or subscription mechanisms;
• use the app in any way that breaks applicable law.

6. Health disclaimer

Hydravia is not a medical device and provides no medical advice. The goals and doses it suggests are general estimates derived from your weight, the time of day and the temperature. They do not account for your health conditions, medication, pregnancy, intense physical activity or any medical condition.

Water needs vary considerably from person to person, and drinking excessive amounts of water can be dangerous. If you are unsure, have a kidney or heart condition, or are under treatment, seek advice from a healthcare professional: their advice always takes precedence over what the app displays. Listen to your thirst.

7. Availability and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be error-free or available without interruption. In particular, reminders and the lock depend on the operating system, the permissions granted and the state of your device: a reminder may fail to fire (airplane mode, low battery, revoked permissions, restart).

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants you as a consumer.

8. Intellectual property

The app, its name, logo, design and content are protected. Your subscription grants a personal, non-exclusive right of use, not a transfer of ownership.

9. Changes to these terms

These terms may be amended. In the event of a substantial change you will be informed in the app or before your subscription renews. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is the publisher's domicile, in the canton of Fribourg, subject to the mandatory rules that let you, as a consumer, go to the courts where you live.
